Own your space – A design competition

Want a little more vibrance in your study space? Do you want to see your creativity on the walls of our campuses? Love the idea of leaving a legacy for all the students who'll study here after you?

Now's your chance.

RMIT's Student Academic Success (SAS) is running a design competition where you have the opportunity to give your voice to the spaces you study in. You can enter the competition as an individual or in a team. There are 3 spaces up for design: the Writing and Learning Centre in Saigon and Hanoi, and the Program Tutor Study Hub on the Saigon Campus.

About Student Academic Success (SAS)

Our main objective is to support students on their journey to academic success. Our department includes Learning Advisors in the Writing and Learning Centre (WLC) who are professional staff that assist students in reaching a wide range of study goals. We also have Program Tutors, trained and certified students, who provide peer support on the content of courses offered at RMIT.

Design competition overview

This is a creative project for our student body to design and give their voices to the spaces they study in. The three spaces in the design competition are the Writing and Learning Centre in Saigon and Hanoi, and the Program Tutor Study Hub on the Saigon Campus.

The SAS design competition is open to all current RMIT Vietnam students. Students can enter individually or as part of a team. Teams must consist of at least two and no more than four students. One student cannot be part of multiple teams. Students can submit for one or multiple spaces provided it meets the brief specifically to that space.

Three submissions will be awarded, one for the WLC in Saigon South, one for the WLC in Hanoi and one for the Program Tutor Study Hub in Saigon South.

The winners of the competition will receive a certificate and a 10 million VND voucher to Future World.

Digitally created designs including photography, illustration and typography are accepted. Designs can be 2D or 3D.

Note: The implementation of the winning design is dependent on final approval by RMIT property based on permissible materials and installations on RMIT property. Amendments to winning designs may be required.
