About this competition

The first-ever Big Industry Challenge HCMC is a two-day program, co-organised by RMIT and Common Purpose with the aim of giving RMIT students a chance to tackle a real-life challenge by connecting ideas and diverse perspectives, with the help of industry experts from a wide range of organisations.

Important dates

  • For Hanoi students:
    • Applications open: Tuesday, 1 August 2023
    • Applications close: 9am, Wednesday, 9 August 2023
  • For Saigon students:
    • Applications open: Thursday, 14 September 2023
    • Applications close: when the program is full

Monday, 16 October, 9am – 3pm

(Hanoi students only) Gather at the airport to travel to HCMC and check in the hotel.

Tuesday, 17 October, 8am – 5pm

Meet your team, pick the organisation to work with, and familiarise yourself with the challenge and industry immersion

Wednesday, 18 October, 8am – 5pm

Travel to the organisation to learn and pich your idea; head back to the venue to reflect your experiences and new skills developed

Thursday, 19 October, 12pm – 5.15pm

(Hanoi students only) Check out of the hotel and travel back to Hanoi
