RMIT offers pathway programs to students who intend to study at an international university. All classes are supported by highly trained and dedicated teachers, helping students excel in English and academic preparation.

For those entering either Business or the Arts, there is also a dedicated program for students who want to finish their final year of High School right on the RMIT campus.

English for University

RMIT offers seven stages of English for University, from Elementary through to Advanced. Upon completion of the Advanced course, you have the option of joining one of RMIT's undergraduate programs.

Foundation Studies

Equivalent to the Australian Year 12, Foundation Studies helps you achieve your higher educational goal. The program is designed to give you a seamless pathway to university, covering subjects that align with your interests and study goals.

UniSTART

UniSTART is an informal pathway option which helps you prepare for university at a manageable pace, allowing you to take your first steps in higher education without feeling lost. This allows you to build your confidence, by slowly increasing the number of courses you study.

Important dates and deadlines

RMIT’s offers are subject to the availability of places in each program and applications to competitive programs may close before published deadlines. As such, applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. 

If a particular intake is full and you are a qualified applicant, we will endeavour to make you an offer for the next available intake or we will place you on a waitlist for your preferred intake and notify you when a place becomes available.

Blended learning

The School of English and University Pathways has a unique interactive class format, with the same learning and teaching approach for online and blended classes. Students are given flexibility to their learning with a mix of self-led and teacher-led activities.

Tuition fees

At RMIT, tuition fee payments are made each semester, on a course-by-course basis.
