Overview

The RMIT summer program promises students an extraordinary one-of-a-kind summer, with every passing minute full of learning and memorable moments.

Participate in the program for a unique opportunity to develop English language skills through engaging, project-based learning. Over the course of at least four weeks, students will enhance essential life skills and build the confidence needed to seize academic and career opportunities in a global context.

Throughout the program, students will be inspired and guided to

  • Improve English proficiency with the support of dedicated and highly experienced educators.
  • Experience a world-class, international university environment.
  • Apply English in real-life situations, strengthening teamwork, presentation and leadership skills through hands-on projects.
  • Gain confidence in public speaking, explore personal interests and develop career awareness.
  • Cultivate creativity, technological fluency and future-ready thinking.
  • Connect with new friends and broaden perspectives.

Program structure

RMIT Saigon South campus

Students can choose from two summer programs, each tailored to meet various needs and preferences.

Full day schedule over 4 weeks

First intake

* The second intake is open only to students at the Pre-Advanced, Advanced, and Advanced Plus levels as per the English for Teens proficiency scale.

60 hours of English class

By learning English using a project-based approach, students will improve their English proficiency by practicing real-life skills. Additionally, they can enhance their teamwork, presentation skills and leadership through working on English projects together.

18 sessions of learning skills and participating in different activities

Throughout the immersive experience, students will explore 5 core intelligence indicators to gain deep self-awareness and build unwavering confidence. The program is designed to cultivate independent thinking, emotional mastery, and the agility to thrive in any situation.

  • Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Staying calm amid differences - Master emotional responses to communicate positively and maintain composure in any interaction.
  • Social Intelligence (SQ): From “me” to “we" - Establish boundaries and civil conduct to protect oneself and build sustainable connections.
  • Cultural Intelligence (CQ): Stepping beyond the comfort zone - Respect and embrace diversity to adapt and thrive in international environments.
  • Linguistic Intelligence (LQ): Confidently expressing your thoughts in English - Use English as a tool for logical reasoning and articulating personal viewpoints clearly.
  • Digital Intelligence (DQ): Staying grounded in the age of AI - Apply critical thinking to leverage AI and digital tools as safe, effective learning assistants.

Students will go beyond theory to directly engage in university demo classes, explore academic majors and interact with real-world professions. This provides a practical foundation for choosing a career path that aligns with their personal abilities and interests.

Students will participate in sports activities to improve their health and relax their minds. Students will also participate in a one-day excursion aimed at helping teenagers strengthen their connection with nature while creating memorable moments with friends.

60 hours of English class

By learning English using a project-based approach, students will improve their English proficiency while they practice real life skills. Activities will include working on teamwork, presentation skills and leadership skills.

1 skill development session and 1 career orientation session

Students will participate in a skill development session as part of a series of soft skills classes, as well as attend a career orientation session to better understand themselves and have reliable references when choosing their field of study and career path.


RMIT Ha Noi campus

Students can choose from two different summer programs, each tailored to meet various needs and preferences.

  • Duration: 4 weeks
  • Commencement date: 08 June 2026 – 03 July 2026
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday mornings, 08:30 – 11:30
  • Total learning time: 60 hours of English and 4 skill-development workshops

This program is delivered through project-based English learning, enabling students not only to strengthen their language skills but also to directly experience how university students learn and express themselves.

Through classroom activities and group projects, students will

  • Experience a demo version of an international university environment
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Build academic writing and presentation skills
  • Form effective time management habits

 4 specialised skill workshops

In addition to English classes, students will participate in four specialised skill workshops

  • Safety in the AI Era
  • Becoming a Global Citizen
  • Self-Discovery & Career Orientation
  • Learning Vocabulary through Comics

  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Commencement date: 08 June 2026 – 17 July 2026
  • Schedule: 08:15am-12:00pm Monday to Friday mornings (includes a 45-minute academic support session each day)
  • Total learning time: 90 hours and 4 "Confident Speaking" club sessions

Designed for students with clear IELTS certification goals, the RMIT IELTS Summer Program follows a model of controlled acceleration, helping students shorten their learning pathway while maintaining academic quality and measurable progress.

Learning, teaching and assessment

Professional accreditation and recognition

English courses and programs provided by RMIT University Vietnam are endorsed by NEAS (the Australian National English Language Teaching Accreditation Scheme). That means you are learning in an organisation that has internationally recognised English learning and teaching standards.

The teaching team at RMIT all possess strong academic backgrounds and have years of teaching experience in multicultural learning environments. Our international-standard teachers understand the needs and mindset of teenage learners, and know how to create classrooms that are open and engaging while maintaining appropriate structure and discipline.

In every lesson, teens are encouraged to ask questions and to share their ideas and opinions in order to gradually develop an active approach to learning. As a result, students study in a serious academic environment while feeling genuinely heard and supported throughout their learning journey.

Use of technology

Students will be facilitated and supported in their use of technology as part of their projects. This will include the use of digital presentation and poster tools, and other online applications. Additionally, teachers will incorporate digital tools, such as Quizlet and Kahoot into class activities to engage and motivate learners.

Tuition fee assistance

Students who commence Universi-teen Summer (formerly known as Teen Summer Explorer) in 2026 are eligible for

A 10% tuition fee reduction if you

  • are currently enroled in the English for Teens; and/or
  • were enroled in the Teen Summer Explorer program in previous years 

A 12% tuition fee reduction if you are a sibling or immediate family member of a current RMIT student and/or alumni (children, spouses, parents, siblings).

Entry requirements

  • Students must be aged between 11 and 17 years old.
  • 11-year-old students must have completed Grade 5.
