About RMIT Vietnam Pride Week 2026

RMIT Vietnam is proud to provide a safe place for our community to study and thrive. Pride Week is our annual event to raise awareness of issues and barriers to inclusion, create spaces of belonging and share stories that connect us.

This year, under the theme Born to be R-riginal, we celebrate the spirit of individuality and authenticity. Just as every fingerprint is unique, every person has their own identity, story, and perspective. Through a collective fingerprint artwork, we celebrate the beauty of diversity and remind our community that everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and valued, because every print has a place

From 24 to 28 August, there are many exciting events and activities for you to participate in and celebrate! Scroll down and share these events with your peers.

  • Time: 10am–4pm, Thursday 27 August
  • Location: B10 Active Hub Foyer, Saigon South Campus

Everyone carries a light of their own. At ALLumina, see what happens when those different lights come together.

Designed as a welcoming, free-flow interactive fair, ALLumina invites you to explore identity, communication, accessibility, empathy and self-expression through hands-on challenge stations.

Take on sensory activities and collaborative puzzles, discover Auslan-inspired communication activities, learn more about the meanings behind the Pride flag colours and explore perspectives around visible and invisible disabilities.

Complete the activity stations to create your own rainbow bracelet and collect a personalised keepsake. You can also contribute to a self-expression mural by creating a character that represents you.

Come to play, create, learn something new or simply recharge in a space that celebrates every light in the RMIT community.

Activities at HN campus

“Fingerprint” Interactive Exhibition (HN)

fashion-club-catwalk-show
  • Time: 10am–4pm, Tuesday 25 August and Wednesday 26 August
  • Location: Innovation Hub, Hanoi City Campus

No two fingerprints are identical — and neither are the stories, experiences and perspectives that each of us brings to RMIT.

Inspired by this idea, Fingerprint turns individual creativity into a collective celebration of identity and belonging.

Drop by the Innovation Hub and leave your own mark through a series of creative activities:

Interactive Fingerprint Wall

Add your fingerprint to a large community canvas and write one word that means something to you. Together, hundreds of individual marks will form a shared artwork celebrating the diversity of the RMIT community.

Pride Coaster Workshop

Design your own wooden coaster using acrylic markers and eco-friendly materials. Make it colourful, meaningful, minimalist or completely unexpected - it’s yours to personalise.

Friendship Bracelet Workshop

Create a bracelet using colourful beads, letters and charms. Keep it as a Pride Week memento or exchange it with someone as a small symbol of friendship and connection.

Pride Badge Reward

Complete the event activities and collect a Pride badge featuring one of several Pride flag designs celebrating the diversity of identities within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Come by between classes, make something to take home, and help create something bigger together.

RIBBOND: Interactive Exhibition (HN)

fashion-club-catwalk-show
  • Time: 10am–4pm, Tuesday 25 August and Wednesday 26 August
  • Location: Innovation Hub, Level 1, Hanoi City Campus

What can a ribbon represent? A connection, a promise, a celebration — or a bond between people.

RIBBOND combines the imagery of ribbon bows and fingerprints to explore themes of love, recognition, equality and community. Inspired partly by the visual language of a wedding celebration, the exhibition invites students to think about marriage equality and the many individual voices that contribute to social change.

Created in collaboration with the RMIT Queer & Alliance Club, RMIT Library and Student Council Hanoi, RIBBOND provides a space to learn, reflect and start conversations about LGBTQIA+ inclusion and equal recognition.

At the Information Corner, discover ten queer organisations and learn more about their work, community resources and contributions to gender and sexuality advocacy.

Drop in, explore the exhibition and discover how individual voices can come together to create stronger bonds of understanding and support.
