Student Council Election

About the election

The RMIT Vietnam Student Council Election is an annual process where students elect new leaders to represent them and contribute to student life enrichment. Coming up to its remarkable milestone - the 15th Generation, the 2026 Election highlights our collective legacy, where each member and each generation has added their voice to preserve, maintain, and expand.

Interested students can nominate themselves in electable positions either individually or as part of an Electoral Team. Eligible candidates then run campaigns to widespread their messages and plans for achieving Student Council goals and objectives.

The Election process often involves electoral campaigns, debates, speeches, and the use of promotional materials to garner support from fellow students of RMIT Vietnam. All students of HE programs can then cast their votes through electronic voting systems to select the candidates that they believe will best represent their interests and lead the student body effectively.

Once the votes are tallied, the candidates achieving the highest votes in each position will be elected and officially become part of Student Council Generation 15. These elected members will then work collaboratively to advocate for student concerns, hold meaningful events and initiatives, and implement positive impact within the RMIT community and beyond throughout their one-year term in office.
