RMIT Christmas Tree will go green this year. The tree itself has been reused for the third time (and counting) and is ornamented with recyclable and reusable materials. Make it a pact to yourselves to take a picture with the RMIT Christmas Tree every year, don’t forget to tag us on your photos with the hashtag #RMITgreenchristmas.
Been wondering what to do with those used batteries laying around you? Let’s make sure those are handled in an appropriate way. The challenge is set up so that you can bring used batteries to the collection box and earn for yourself a freebie for the effort. Better yet, the joy of responsible living will be shared with everyone at RMIT. For a number of batteries collected, we will return an equivalent number of candies that anyone at RMIT can take. Together we go for a greener way of life!
Who wouldn’t love a bit of craft when it comes to Christmas? We know there’s a lot on your hands during this time of the year, but getting a bit more handful with crafts will make you and your loved ones happy. At the crafty corner, all materials will be prepared for you to show off skills in making origami and traditional gift wrapping. The best thing is, you can take your masterpiece home as a sweet cherry on top, and even get an extra gift!
