Your Orientation Week starts on Monday, 24 February - that's when your RMIT journey begins!

How to navigate your student life smoothly? How to find information at RMIT? It's not so difficult. There are many intriguing activities and insightful workshops for you to get familiar with RMIT's student services, and study environment, and make new friends!

Welcome Day: 26 February

Thursday, 26 February is the Welcome Day for new students at RMIT Vietnam Saigon South (SGS) and Hanoi campuses.

You can take a campus tour, and discover all student support services at the Service Fair. There are also fun on-campus activities and entertainment, along with opportunities to socialise with other new students.

International student induction: 26 & 27 February

If you're an international student coming to RMIT Vietnam, this induction sure is not to miss. You will get essential information for international students in Vietnam such as visa, health insurance, and especially, RMIT's buddy program - where you make friends with local students and attend cultural activities.

School and Program Inductions: from 2 to 13 March

After getting used to RMIT's student services, it's time for you to get familiar with your programs and meet your classmates and lecturers. Attending School and Program Induction is compulsory for new students. 

You will receive an email invitation from your schools via your RMIT mailbox closer to Orientation Week. Please check your mailboxes regularly.

Family Welcome Day

We are excited to invite your parents to the Family Welcome Day at RMIT University! This exclusive event is designed to provide essential information and insights about the university, helping your parents become a source of encouragement and support as you embark on your university journey.

Family Welcome Day semester 1, 2026

This event offers your parents and family members a chance to learn key information and gain valuable insights about RMIT University, allowing them to connect with your university experience and be a source of encouragement throughout your exciting transition into university life. 

  • Vietnamese session for parents of local students: 3pm-4.30pm (GMT+7), Friday 27/02/2026, Online via Teams. 
  • English session for parents of international students: 10am-11am (GMT+7), Friday 27/02/2026, Online via Teams. 

*Family Welcome Day is exclusively for parents and family members. New students are encouraged to attend the Orientation Day.
