Electronic and computer systems engineering has rapidly advanced over recent decades, becoming a driving force in high-tech innovation, particularly in microchips and semiconductors.
The program is designed to equip students with foundational knowledge, practical skills and hands-on experience in this industry. This foundation enables you to improve engineering solutions in the design, implementation and quality assurance of analog and digital electronic systems such as embedded systems and IoT, as well as information and network systems.
To build a unique skill set aligned with specific career goals, the program offers specialisation through a range of in-demand minors: Digital Circuits and Systems, Embedded Systems and Internet of Things, Advanced Communication & Network Engineering, Advanced Software Engineering and Technology and Entrepreneurship.
In their final year, students collaborate with leading industry partners to optimise products and apply engineering expertise in their Capstone projects, while also gaining hands-on experience through a 12-week professional engineering internship placement.

Honours is a pathway to higher research degrees and is located at Level 8 of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). An Honours degree provides a distinctive competitive advantage in the international job market.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at RMIT University Vietnam is a four-year program (full time). It incorporates a bachelor degree and additional study to develop your research, analytical and communication skills. This type of Honours study is embedded throughout the degree program.
Honours may also be available in other programs as one year of additional study which includes a thesis. This type of Honours program is designed for high-achieving students with the potential to undertake independent research. Under the general guidance of a supervisor, you will plan, develop and report on a research project aimed at producing practical and theoretical outcomes that build on existing knowledge.
The program learning outcomes are based on Engineers Australia's Stage 1 Competency Standards.
RMIT provides world-class blended learning with both face-to-face and online experiences in a global network, a supportive community, and real-world skills.
When you successfully complete this program, you may be eligible for direct entry into an RMIT Master’s degree by Research or Doctoral (PhD) program.

Previous study and proficiency tests are recognised for two years from the completion date or test date to the program commencement date unless stated otherwise. RMIT does not accept scores from at-home or online testing.
Where you have achieved more than one form of English language proficiency only the most relevant achievement will be considered in the admission decision.
