Defer a payment

RMIT has strict payment and enrolment deadlines. However, we also understand that there may be exceptional cases that make it appropriate for a payment plan to be approved.

Such support is available for continuing students who are suffering unexpected short-term financial hardship.

Payment extension applications must be submitted before the Payment Date of the course.

Conditions for extensions

  1.  Incomplete or late applications will not be assessed.
  2. You will be notified of the outcome via your RMIT student email account.
  3. If your application is unsuccessful, you will be required to make payment in full by the Payment Date or you will otherwise be withdrawn from courses and placed on administrative Cancellation.
  4.  If your application is successful and you fail to make payment in accordance with the terms of the extension, your program will be cancelled from next semester. The outstanding fees remain payable and must be paid before you can successfully re-apply for entry into RMIT Vietnam or another campus of RMIT University.
  5. For full details, please refer to the latest Student Fees and Charges Guide (PDF, 867KB, 67p) or visit Student Connect.
