Global short programs

• Winter term (June – July): application opens around March – May (same year) 
• Summer term (January – February): application opens around September – November (previous year)

Please do research for programs with the code STX (Study Exchange). For STX programs:

• Student will undertake a short program at a host university (exchange places)
• Student will continue paying tuition fee to RMIT Vietnam as usual

Step 1 - Submit Study Plan: Prepare and submit your study plan to Student Connect VN for approval. For RMIT Vietnam students, please refer to this Study Plan guide for the correct format and submission.

Step 2 - Submit Mobi Application: Use the approved study plan and valid passport to complete the application. 

Step 3 - Nomination: You will be nominated to the host university.  

Step 4 - Host Application: Follow instructions and complete the application sent directly from the host university.  

Step 5 - Application Outcome: You'll receive the outcome of your application directly from the host university.  

Step 6 - Student Visa: Begin your visa application process for the host country.  

Step 7 - Tuition Fee Payment: Pay the tuition fee to RMIT Vietnam by the set deadline.  

1. Credits transfer:

• Credits of completed courses will be transferred back based on official transcript and approved study plan.
• These results do not carry weighted grades (not counted towards RMIT GPA)

2. Study duration:

• Check whether the study duration of the short program fits with RMIT academic semesters.
• Students are advised to consult with their School about short program participation to verify academic/duration suitability and ensure careful preparation before applying.
• It is the student's responsibility to manage their studies accordingly between the host university and RMIT.

3. Course preparation:

• Students are recommended to use RMIT University Elective (UE) to apply for this program.

4. Visa application:

• Visa is the student's responsibility. RMIT can only support students with academic documents.
