Organised by the School of Science, Engineering & Technology, Psychology Day 2025 celebrates World Wellbeing Week with a vibrant, full-day event that explores how psychology can be applied to everyday life and global challenges. Through interactive workshops, student-led showcases, and creative experiences, you’ll gain practical tools to support mental health, foster emotional resilience, and connect with a community dedicated to well-being. Join us as we put Mind in Motion and bring psychology to life.

Psychovation 2025: Applying Psychology for Global Challenges

A competition for students and alumni where you showcase how psychology can make a difference - from mental health to sustainability, education to technology and beyond. Whether you're a student, alumni, or Psychology enthusiast, we want to hear your visionary solutions. 

Workshops

Dive into a diverse range of interactive workshops designed to bring psychology to life through practice and participation. Held simultaneously across the SGS and HN campuses, each session offers a unique lens into how psychological principles can support personal development, communication, creativity, and well-being. 

1. Inner Calm, Inner Strength: A Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop 

Facilitator: Ms. Đào Thị Ngọc Mai 

  • Co-founder of Authentic Live & Learn (ALL) 
  • Visiting Lecturer, RMIT Vietnam 
  • PhD Candidate in Psychology, School of Science, Engineering & Technology 

This workshop guides you through mindful self-compassion practices to build emotional resilience and inner strength in the face of life’s challenges. 

2. Touch to Connect: Exploring Compassionate Communication through Movement and Body Language 

Facilitator: Ms. Ngô Thị Hồng Thu 

  • Co-founder of Tay Thỏ Art Studio 

Discover how movement and nonverbal communication can foster empathy, emotional expression, and authentic human connection in this body-focused workshop. 

3. Mind the Gap: Coaching for Personal and Professional Growth

Facilitator: Ms. Trương Thị Thùy Trang (Anna) 

  • Founder of PsyCap Institute of Applied Psychology 
  • Visiting Lecturer, University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU-HCMC 

Explore coaching as a psychological tool for self-awareness, goal setting, and personal development to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. 

1. Mettle-Based Creative Dance 

  • Facilitator: Ms. Mai Phuong Bui – Co-founder, Tròn Lành Network / Healing Circles Vietnam 

An expressive workshop combining dance and emotional exploration—designed to help you reconnect with yourself and others through creative movement. 

2. The Magic of Gratitude: Positive Healing Spells for Problematic Social Relationships 

  • Facilitator: Dr. Gordon Ingram – Senior Lecturer in Psychology, RMIT Vietnam 

Learn how gratitude can serve as a transformative force in healing difficult social relationships and strengthening emotional bonds in everyday life.

Explore the showcase booths, where psychology student groups bring their ideas to life through interactive displays, creative activities and engaging conversations. This vibrant space invites students, staff, and visitors to discover how psychology can be applied in everyday life. It's also a unique opportunity for student presenters to share their knowledge, develop facilitation skills, and contribute to a meaningful, community-focused celebration of well-being.
