Series overview

At RMIT, we value equity and inclusion for LGBTIQA+ staff and students including, but not limited to, those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer or questioning, and asexual.

This event series is a joint initiative by RMIT Wellbeing and Human Resource to deliver exclusive activities for staff members during RMIT Vietnam's Pride Week 2023 (21 and 25 August).

Proudly Connect welcome session (21 August)

To kick off Pride Week, the Proudly Connect welcome session will be organised online from 10.50 am to 12.00 pm on Monday 21 August. All staff are invited to attend this interactive online session to revisit basic knowledge of SOGIESC (sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics) and hear stories from our colleagues about the generational and cultural differences among our rainbow community as a way to head towards workplace diversity and inclusion.

Proudly Care mutual walk-in sessions (25 August)

On Friday 25 August in Room 1.2.34 (Saigon South campus), the Wellbeing and Human Resources teams will be hosting two in-person sessions and a morning tea session to have in-depth discussions about LGBTIQAP+ parenting. There will be a LGBTIQAP+ student attending as a co-facilitator for further support.

Sessions 1 and 2 are open for all staff members in RMIT Vietnam, but only 15 staff maximum can attend each.
