Starting at RMIT Vietnam is an important and exciting moment and we're committed to providing you with the information, support and resources you need to succeed from day one.
We aim to create a safe place for students and staff, where everyone feels included, respected and supported.
That’s why, all higher education students at RMIT's Vietnam campuses are required to complete a free, self-paced online module called Consent First.
Consent First is an engaging online module that uses film and interactive quizzes to explore topics associated with sex education, relationships, and consent. It also offers helpful tips for how to support someone who has experienced sexual harm or violence. Higher Education (Undergraduate, Postgraduate and HDR) students may pause and resume the module and can access emotional support through Safer Community.
If you started your Higher Ed studies in 2026 Semester 2, the modules will be automatically added to your Canvas after you've enrolled in your next classes. Find and complete them via your Canvas dashboard (login required).
You must complete the modules by the end of your first semester or teaching period. Some students who haven’t completed the modules by this deadline will be blocked from adding to their enrolment.
If you commenced at RMIT before Semester 2 2026, you may also complete the versions of the modules available in the Canvas Catalogue.
To complete these modules, you must manually enroll into the modules via the Catalogue and complete them once they appear in your Canvas dashboard.
The enrolment links to the modules will appear here once the modules are published.
Onboarding and Commencing Higher Education students who began studying on or after Semester 2 2026.
Any RMIT VN student besides Onboarding or Commencing Higher Education students beginning on or after Semester 2 2026 are exempt from automatic enrolment blocking.
