Eligibility

Transferring to RMIT Melbourne as an RMIT Vietnam students helps you to bridge the gap between local and international study environments. 

If you have already proven your study capacity by successfully completing courses at RMIT in Vietnam, you will also benefit from simpler application requirements and processes for transferring to Melbourne.

Note: Transfer students from RMIT Vietnam are waived with AU$100 application fee.

RMIT Vietnam current students can apply to transfer to RMIT Melbourne to study and complete your undergraduate program. 

Please be aware that the number of credits transferred might be affected if you transfer to a different program other than your previous study at RMIT Vietnam.

You are required to:

  • be currently enrolled in an RMIT Vietnam Bachelor’s program;
  • have successfully completed at least 36 credit points (equivalent to one semester at RMIT Vietnam at the time of applying) with no double fail in one course;
  • have at least three courses remaining (equivalent to 36 credit points) in the degree programs before transferring;
  • meet the GPA requirements by programs.

RMIT Vietnam current Master students or current Graduate Certificate students can apply to transfer and complete your degree at RMIT Melbourne. 
Mode of study at RMIT Melbourne: full-time.

Current RMIT Vietnam Master's students are required to:

  • be currently enrolled in an RMIT Vietnam Master’s program;
  • have successfully completed at least 36 credit points with no double fail in one course;
  • have at least three courses remaining (equivalent to 36 credit points) in the degree programs;
  • meet the GPA requirements by programs (1.0 out of 4.0)

Possible programs to transfer are:

Current RMIT Vietnam Graduate Certificate students are required to: 

  • have successfully completed your Graduate Certificate program with a GPA of 1.0 or above, with no double fail in one course, at the time of applying for transfer;
  • be currently enrolled in an RMIT Master’s program: students can apply in the first semester of your master program, as you have already completed 4 courses in the Graduate Certificate program. 

Fails leading to the repetition of required courses as part of your degrees or the previous refusal of a visa may cause delay in the application process or affect the application results.
