17th PRSCO Summer Institute

Call for Papers (extended deadline)

We are still accepting new full paper submissions without an abstract submission until 21 June 2021.

The Pacific Regional Science Conference Organization (PRSCO), the Regional Science Association International (RSAI) and RMIT University are pleased to invite you to submit your papers to the 17th PRSCO Summer Institute. The conference will be held online from 11-13 August 2021. The theme of the conference is “Emerging Technologies in Regional Development”.

Special Issue

Best papers presented at the conference will be invited to submit the papers to a special issue on “Emerging Technologies in Regional Science” of Regional Science Policy and Practice (Q2). The papers will go through the journal standard review process.

Notification of Paper Acceptance: 1 July 2021

Deadline for Registration: 4 July 2021

Conference: 11-13 August 2021

 

Submission Instructions:

Presenters are invited to submit an electronic copy (either Microsoft Word or PDF) of their papers (in English) with the file names labelled as the presentation title. Papers must be submitted by email to prsco2020@rmit.edu.vn

All submissions will go through a double-blind peer review process and all presenters are expected to discuss a paper and/or chair a session.

Registration

1. To apply for attending the conference, complete the Registration Form.

  • In this form, you will be asked to submit the abstract of papers and a short biography of each author (max 300 words). 
  • If you have problems with the live form, please download the pdf form here and then email the form to us via prsco2020@rmit.edu.vn

2. Full papers should be submitted by 21 June 2021 to prsco2020@rmit.edu.vn

3. If your paper is accepted, you should receive a notification of acceptance on 1 July 2021. Please complete the Registration no later than 4 July 2021.

Nurturing Talent Session

The conference will provide a workshop for PhD students to discuss/pitch their PhD studies and receive feedback from various professors and senior academics. 

The workshop will be embedded into the conference as a 1.5 to 2 hours session where the students can either present full papers (10 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes discussion) or pitch their research (3-5 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes discussion).

The students will receive advice on their publication potential and targeted journals.

The host will be Professor Gabriel Lee from University of Regensburg and Associate Professor Vikash Ramiah from University of Wollongong.
