Illustrator, Graphic Designer & Educator

Alison Barratt is a highly accomplished illustrator and graphic designer, skilled in traditional and digital media. With training from the Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art, she has developed an extensive portfolio as a graphic designer and illustrator for magazines, newspapers, and diverse clients.

Alison's expertise spans editorial, publishing, corporate, advertising, packaging, and design at an international level. Additionally, she held the position of Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for Illustration and Design at the University of Sunderland for fourteen years. Based in London, Alison continues to thrive as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer while also sharing her knowledge and passion by teaching illustration courses at City Lit. Her client list includes renowned publishing houses, businesses, advertising agencies, and art galleries, both nationally and internationally.

Notably, she has made significant contributions to the design of books and catalogs for prestigious art galleries such as the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art and the Douglas Hyde Gallery in Dublin.
