Tom Nguyen is an Associate Lecturer at RMIT Vietnam, where he has taught since 2006. With dual Bachelor degrees in Anthropology from the University of Southern California and Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Los Angeles, he later earned his MBA from RMIT Vietnam.
Tom is the founder of several creative ventures including Vinamation Inc. (VFX outsourcing), Mad Lad Figures (toy design and manufacturing), Tete Interactive (game and interactive media), and Van Tich, Huyền Thoại Tí Hon (the legendary heroes project).
With over two decades of industry experience, Tom has contributed to more than 200 films, series, and game projects. His portfolio includes blockbuster titles such as Polar Express, Day After Tomorrow, Spider-Man, Avengers, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, Flash, Umbrella Academy, Squid Game, Transformers, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, Godzilla, Wonder Woman 1984, Alien: Covenant, Nosferatu, and 28 Years Later.
Technically proficient in Nuke, Unity, and 3DS Max, he is also skilled in VS Code, Blender, ComfyUI, and Stable Diffusion. His current interests lie in large language models, diffusion models, generative music, Python, JavaScript, game development, and web development.
