Meet our Myanmar community at RMIT

Nang Thri Lin - Foundation Studies student

I feel that Hanoi's culture is not that different to Myanmar. Comparing to other Southeast Asian countries, the living cost is quite inexpensive. Also, RMIT Vietnam provides the Australian curriculum. To those who are planning to study abroad with a reasonable price and a safe environment, I'd recommend RMIT Vietnam - it's the best.

Ye Thu Aung - IT Student

Studying IT at RMIT Vietnam has been an incredible experience. The curriculum is cutting-edge, and the faculty members are industry experts who bring real-world insights into the classroom. The university's state-of-the-art facilities and supportive learning environment have helped me grow both academically and personally. The hands-on projects and collaborations have prepared me for the challenges of the tech industry. I feel confident and ready to make a significant impact in my career.

Naw Gloria Htoo - Foundation Studies student

When I first did my research about universities in Southeast Asia, RMIT was always at the top. The Foundation Studies Program at RMIT teaches a curriculum comparable in standard to an Australian year 12 curriculum. For me, it is the perfect program to prepare for a university academic reality.

Kyaw Aung - MBA alumnus

Hanoi is a beautiful, ancient and cultured city with low living costs. RMIT Hanoi campus is in the centre of Hanoi and is close to many restaurants and shopping centres. The university has modern facilities, high-quality education and self-development and student support services. For Myanmar students who would like to study at RMIT, I can say it’s the best choice for higher education.

Su Thiri Soe - Bachelor of Business

I chose RMIT Vietnam because I had heard about the University alumni’s success stories in different industries and how the teaching aligns with the needs of today’s workplace. I too wanted to have an authentic RMIT student experience. Although I originally studied in a Myanmar public school, adapting to learning at RMIT was smooth because the university provides its students with all resources to succeed, including workshops and webinars to familiarize ourselves with the international learning system and school facilities. Whether it was making inquiries or applying to the school, I received immediate responses and guidance.

Saw Yu Zin - MBA student

Although my journey at RMIT Vietnam was genuinely challenging, it taught me how to be a professional in the workplace, especially in a multilingual culture. The knowledge I've gained is both theoretical and practical. Therefore, I am now more confident about my future career, with what I've learned from the master's course. Furthermore, I always feel like home in Vietnam because of the generosity of all my friends and the staff at RMIT university.
