Trung Nguyen is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in teaching, leadership, and research at RMIT Vietnam. He holds a PhD in Management from Monash University, a Master of Arts in the Economics of Development, and a Bachelor's in Foreign Trade. Additionally, he has completed short courses at Wharton Business School.

Trung's research interests encompass public management, digital/smart transformation, sustainability in business and the public sector, and international/development economics. He leads a research group and has a diverse range of publications. As the Head of the Management Department, he oversees several business programs, including the MBA.

His teaching portfolio includes courses on the political economy of global business, public management, leading in the age of digital disruption, and business and economic analysis. Trung is sought after as a media commentator and speaker at conferences. His expertise has led him to serve as a member of advisory teams for provincial governments.
