Selection criteria

Past Academic Performance will be assessed and ranked by the selection committee based on applicants' weighted GPA. The top-ranking applicants will be awarded the scholarships.

* Past Academic Performance weighting

Past academic performance is calculated using the following weighting:

  • 40% – Grade 12 Semester 1 GPA
  • 30% – Grade 11 GPA
  • 30% – Grade 10 GPA

** GPA equivalence

Grading systems that use a different scale, such as a 4.0, 7.0 point scale or letter grades, will be converted to an equivalent 10-point scale.

If a high school transcript does not include a cumulative GPA for each year, the Scholarships Office will calculate the annual GPA by averaging the grades for subjects assessed on a 10-point scale. Subjects assessed on a pass/fail basis will not be included in the calculation.
