Academic Achievement Scholarship

The Academic Achievement Scholarship is awarded to scholarship applicants who have achieved exceptional academic results in high school. If chosen, you are offered the tuition fee reduction to the degree of your choice.

This annual scholarship is open to prospective students who meet all entry requirements for a Bachelor program at RMIT Vietnam.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• Be a citizen of Vietnam
  
• Be a current Grade 12 student (expected to graduate from high school in 2027); or have graduated from high school no more than two years before the scholarship application deadline.
• Have completed Semester 1 of Grade 12 of high school with a minimum weighted GPA* of Grade 10, Grade 11 and Semester 1 of Grade 12 of 8.5/10.0; or equivalent**.
• Have IELTS (Academic) 6.5+ (no band below 6.0) or equivalent. For other international English entry requirements, please refer to the English equivalency requirements (links to Australian website)
  
  • Your IELTS test result must still be within its two-year validity period on the start date of your intended intake semester in 2027.
• Have applied for admission to a Bachelor's degree program at RMIT Vietnam and meet the program entry requirements (conditional offer may be considered)
• Commence study on your Bachelor's degree program in 2027. If successful, the scholarship will apply from semester 3 2027 (October 2027).

* Past Academic Performance weighting

Weighted GPA are calculated using the following weighting:

• 40% – Grade 12 Semester 1 GPA
• 30% – Grade 11 GPA
• 30% – Grade 10 GPA

** GPA equivalence

Grading systems that use a different scale, such as a 4.0, 7.0 point scale or letter grades, will be converted to an equivalent 10-point scale.

If a high school transcript does not include a cumulative GPA for each year, the Scholarships Office will calculate the annual GPA by averaging the grades for subjects assessed on a 10-point scale. Subjects assessed on a pass/fail basis will not be included in the calculation.

To uphold your Provisional Scholarship Offer, please complete the following requirements by the specified deadlines. Failure to meet these conditions will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.

• Maintain your GPA: Maintain a minimum GPA of 8.5/10.0 for Semester 2 of Grade 12. 
• Submit required documents: Send your Vietnamese High School National Examination Statement of Results and Final High School Transcript - or official IB/A-Level (or equivalent) results - to your Program Advisor by 18 August 2027.
