Luke McLachlan was a lecturer at RMIT Vietnam. He was a truly global citizen and an inspiration to those planning a future in international business. A scholarship to cover half the cost of a Bachelor of Business (International Business) offered in his honour to the applicant with the highest high school GPA.


To qualify, an applicant must: 

  • Be a citizen of Vietnam
  • Complete grade 12 with a GPA minimum of 8.5/10.0; or complete an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a minimum of 33 points in total; or complete GCE ‘A’ Levels (UK) with 11 points for three Advanced subjects (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1)
  • Achieve IELTS (Academic) 6.5+ (no band below 6.0), or for other international English entry requirements, please view the English equivalency requirements.
  • Have registered in the program Bachelor of Business (International Business).

Selection criteria

Past Academic Performance is assessed by the selection committee and ranked according to the eligibility criteria. The top ranked applicant will receive scholarship of 50%. Past Academic Performance is weighted as follows: 60% GPA Year 12 + 30% GPA Year 11 + 10% GPA Year 10.

Note: Once accepted, this scholarship cannot be transferred to another degree program.
