The event will bring together educators, innovators, and industry leaders to tackle a fundamental question: How do we ensure educational innovation actually improves learning outcomes?

This symposium showcases practical solutions across learning design, accessibility, scholarship of teaching, and emerging technologies - not as separate initiatives, but as interconnected approaches to improve education.

Attendees will engage with real projects, working prototypes, and actionable strategies that are already transforming classrooms across Southeast Asia. From AI integration in learning and teaching to inclusive learning environments, from industry partnerships to evidence-based teaching practices, this event demonstrates innovation that prioritises student success.

Speakers

Keynote speaker: Associate Professor Amanda White

Deputy Associate Dean Education (Learner Experience), University of Technology Sydney

Dr Amanda White OAM is an education-focused Associate Professor in Accounting and is also the Deputy Associate Dean Education (Learner Experience) at the UTS Business School. She has been recognised at a national level for her innovation in assessment and the learner experience, as a winner of Teaching Excellence Award for Law, Business, Economics by the Australian Awards for University Teaching and a Medal in the Order of Australia. Her current work at UTS focuses on supporting academics in facilitating student learning and providing assessment in the face of GenAI and enforcement of academic integrity standards.
