The Practice Research Symposium in Asia features public examinations and progress review presentations by graduate research candidates alongside a curated program of research-centric and social events that foreground the practitioners from the region.
Held twice a year in Ho Chi Minh City and in partnership with RMIT Vietnam’s School of Communication and Design, the PRS Asia program aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from across Asia in lively and robust discussion, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.
This March we are excited to announce two PhD examinations, Pooja Nansi from the School of Media and Communication and Donn Holohan from the School of Architecture and Urban Design.
In addition, join us for our keynote panel discussing the theme ‘archive.’ We’ll be reflecting on how ‘archiving’ might extend to collecting, documentation, alteration and reflection on creative practice, and how it may shape our understanding of creative methodologies. We ask, how does the archive stimulate creative research enquiry? What does ‘archive’ mean across different creative disciplines and how does it shape or distort knowledge?
Milestone and Work in Progress presentations will be held Saturday and Sunday at RMIT Vietnam’s Saigon South Campus.
