Eco-spotting challenge

Rules

Explore the library, discover its green practices and show how you contribute to sustainability. Complete at least 3 tasks to win a stamp.

  1. Green carry: donate a paper bag to the library’s “Reusable Bag Corner” or borrow/use one of the reusable paper bags available.

  2. Sip sustainably: take a photo of yourself using a reusable tumbler inside the library.

  3. Smart energy: spot and document a location in the library with auto switch-off lights.

  4. Digital first: search the library database and find one online article related to SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

  5. E-waste: bring used batteries from home and drop them at the Library’s Battery Collection Box.

  6. Light patrol: spot an area with natural daylight being used instead of artificial lighting.

  7. Plant connection: spot any indoor plant in/around the library.

  8. Print smart: show proof of double-sided printing at the library printer.

  9. Find the recycling icon: spot a recycling icon inside the library.

  10. No plastic proof: show your study desk free from single-use plastic.

Proof of participation

  1. Take a photo of your results (e.g., with the recycling bin, tumbler, or database article screen).
  2. Include your RMIT student/staff ID card in the photo.
  3. Show the photos to our volunteer/supporter at the booth to get your challenge approved.
