Director, Finance cum Chief Accountant

Giang Nguyen is the Director, Finance cum Chief Accountant at RMIT Vietnam, bringing over 25 years of experience in senior finance roles. She is recognised for her expertise in financial management, mergers and acquisitions, debt structuring and taxation, with a strong focus on sustainability and strategic planning. Her leadership emphasises partnership and inclusivity, aligning growth and transformation strategies while strengthening financial capabilities across teams, systems and processes. 

At RMIT Vietnam, Giang leads the finance function, overseeing financial management, investment, planning, control, reporting and financial systems, while providing strategic counsel to senior leadership. She ensures compliance with regulatory, tax and accounting standards by embedding risk management and robust audit frameworks into core financial processes, fostering operational excellence that safeguards organisational integrity and enables sustainable growth. 

Prior to joining RMIT Vietnam in 2017, Giang served as Group Finance Director at KEG for 12 years, leading financial strategy and navigating investment decisions in K-12 international education, enabling significant regional expansion across Southeast Asia. Her earlier career includes senior finance roles with companies under Ascott Group and Hong Leong Group, where she gained extensive experience in property development and management. 

Outside of work, Giang enjoys spending time with her two children and long-distance walking.
