Professor Brett Kirk is Dean of the School of Science, Engineering & Technology.

Professor Brett Kirk has a distinguished academic career and a proven senior leadership track record in STEM. 

His previous leadership roles include Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Dean International (Science and Engineering) at Curtin University of Technology, Head of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Australia and Director of the Asset Institute (Western Australia). 

He has led major University initiatives through broad stakeholder engagement including industry, government and international partners in the Asia/Pacific region.

Brett is an accomplished academic and researcher in areas of Industry 4.0, engineering asset management and systems engineering. He has applied these technologies to health and medical research with a specific interest in Digital Health.

He has led a range of strategic industry research developments including the national Cooperative Research Centre for Infrastructure and Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM) and has served as Research Director of this CRC.
