The Reframing Vietnam project (henceforth will be referred to as the "competition") celebrates creative excellence in visual storytelling that reimagines perspectives on Vietnam's culture, heritage, and modern identity. The competition is organized by RMIT University Vietnam and by entering, participants agree to comply with these terms and conditions, which govern all aspects of the competition.
The competition opens for entry on 18 August 2025 and closes at 5:00pm on Sunday 14 September 2025 (ICT).
3.1. The competition is open to RMIT University students, alumni and staff aged 18 and over on 1 January 2025.
3.2. Entry is open to individuals only. All participants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined below. The competition is also open to RMIT Vietnam alumni who graduated on or before January 1, 2025.
3.3. All entries must be submitted digitally in accordance with the deliverables outlined in the official brief and must be submitted within the entry period.
3.4. Entrants can submit more than one entry, with each entry considered separate.
3.5 Members of the organising committee and judging panel are not permitted to participate in the competition.
4.1. All entries must be original works and must not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights. The use of AI is only permissible in the AI-Assisted Creativity category and not allowed in other categories.
4.2. Entries must not contain any material deemed threatening, defamatory, obscene, offensive, or otherwise unlawful.
4.3. All entries must be submitted through the official online entry system. Any digital file uploaded must not contain malware or harmful code.
4.4. RMIT Vietnam accepts no responsibility for lost or undelivered entry material. Proof of upload does not guarantee receipt.
4.5. For our current students, entries must include full names of entrants, their student numbers and their school. For our alumni, entries must include full names, their degree name and year of graduation.
4.6. Winning entrants agree to take part in reasonable publicity related to the competition and grant RMIT University Vietnam the right to use their name, image, and work for the publication, exhibitions and promotional purposes.
4.7. Submission categories and file requirements
Participants are encouraged to express their perspectives through any artistic discipline, ensuring that each submission is personal, authentic, and reflective of contemporary Vietnam. Each submission must be accompanied by a written paragraph (maximum 200 words) explaining the concept, inspiration, and relevance of the work to the theme of the competition. All entries must adhere to the following specifications:
5.1. Entrants retain ownership of their submitted work.
5.2. By submitting, entrants grant RMIT University Vietnam and relevant sponsors a non-exclusive license to use their work for publication, exhibitions and promotional purposes.
5.3. If a sponsor wishes to develop an entry commercially, the entrant will engage in a first negotiation agreement with the sponsor before seeking external negotiations.
6.1. RMIT University Vietnam will appoint a jury composed of qualified judges.

6.4. General feedback may be shared publicly, but individual feedback will not be provided.

9.1. RMIT University Vietnam reserves the right to disqualify any entries that violate these terms and conditions.
9.2. If an entry is found to be non-original, entrants must provide evidence of authorship or else the work will be withdrawn.
10.1. Personal data collected during submission will be used solely for awards administration.
10.2. Entrants consent to their contact details being shared with sponsors and judges if they win. Personal information will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Statement: www.rmit.edu.au/utilities/privacy.
11.1. RMIT Vietnam reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
11.2. The awards are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
