RMIT Vietnam Library is proud to host its annual Library Seminar, bringing together library professionals and practitioners from across the academic library community. The event provides a forum for knowledge exchange, strategic thinking and collaborative dialogue on how libraries can remain resilient, innovative and learner-centred in the coming decade.

Overview

As AI, automation, data analytics and emerging technologies continue to reshape higher education and research ecosystems, libraries are uniquely positioned to lead and influence meaningful change. This seminar explores what it means to be future-ready, from reimagining library services and enhancing digital capabilities to nurturing digitally fluent staff and supporting AI-enabled teaching, learning, and research.

Topics include

  • The future of academic libraries in an AI-enabled environment
  • Leveraging emerging technologies to enhance learning and research
  • Digital transformation strategies and capacity building
  • Ethical, responsible and human-centred use of AI in library services
  • Innovations in library spaces, data services and digital literacy programmes

Expected outcomes

  • To foster strategic dialogue on the transformation of academic libraries in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
  • Strengthened cross-campus and regional collaboration in AI capability and digital transformation.
  • To inspire innovation, new ideas and the sharing of good practice to support future-ready learning and research communities.

What you need to know about the event

  1. Language: Conducted entirely in English, with Vietnamese interpretation 
  2. Attendee: RMIT Vietnam Library's invited guests only.
  3. Registration Fee: Free of charge
  4. Materials: Presentation slides will be shared and uploaded to RMIT Library website
  5. Refreshments: Morning tea, tea break and lunch will be provided. 
  6. What to Bring: Your national ID card for check-in.
