Event overview

Welcome to the fourth annual RMIT - HR Forum. This is a unique opportunity to explore the impact of emerging AI technology on talent and workforce. How will generative AI change the way we work, learn and innovate? What are the skills and competencies that will be in demand in the future? How can we prepare ourselves and our organisations for the opportunities and challenges of this new era?

The ongoing debate about generative AI and the workforce is whether this technology will augment or replace human workers in various domains. Some argue that generative AI will enhance human creativity, productivity, and innovation, by providing new tools and possibilities for solving problems and generating value. Others contend that generative AI will displace human workers, especially in low-skill or repetitive tasks, by automating them or performing them better and faster. The debate also involves ethical, social, and legal implications of generative AI, such as its potential for misuse, bias, or harm, and the need for regulation and accountability.

Join us for an insightful discussion with industry experts from RMIT University and Deloitte Consulting - two leading institutions in the higher education and consulting sectors, and executive members from the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia, this roundtable will also highlight the potential collaborations between the two countries in the field of AI and human capital development.
