Giang Hoang

Dr. Giang Hoang is a management scholar with a primary focus on the impact of leadership on individual, team, and organizational outcomes, particularly within service sectors. His current research encompasses a variety of projects related to leadership behaviors, employee creativity and well-being, team innovation, and sustainable organizational development. His work has been published in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Service Research (ABDC-A*, ABS-4), International Journal of Hospitality Management (ABDC-A*, ABS-3), Journal of Business Ethics (ABDC-A, ABS-3, FT-50), International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (ABDC-A, ABS-3), and Journal of Business Venturing Insights (ABDC-A). He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Leadership & Organization Development Journal (Q1).

As an engaged academic, Giang is passionately dedicated to his research projects and actively collaborates with colleagues to develop practical implications for organizations seeking to enhance workplace environments and for nations striving for sustainable development. Over the past decade, he has successfully secured over $500,000 in competitive grants and research funding, including the Global Partnership for Education - Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Grant (IDRC, Canada), the Vietnam National Foundation for Science and Technology Development Grant (NAFOSTED, Vietnam), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), and SECO's Economic Development Cooperation Funding (SECO, Switzerland). These research initiatives aim to improve knowledge and skills for the labor workforce in developing countries, promote innovation and sustainability, and enhance leadership effectiveness in the global markets.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Giang actively contributes to a range of media outlets, where his insights and commentary have been featured in prominent publications such as Psychology Today, Saigon Times, Vietnam Business Forums, and Nguoi Lao Dong News. He also brings significant industry experience to his academic role, having worked in key sectors including airlines, oil and gas, and hospitality.
