Visa Information

  • Visa requirements for entering Vietnam vary depending on your nationality and length of stay. Some travellers may be eligible for visa-free entry. We recommend checking the official website of your country’s foreign ministry or contacting the nearest Vietnamese embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date requirements.
  • Visitors may enter Vietnam on either a Tourist Visa or a Business Visa. A Business Visa is not required for conference attendance unless specifically mandated by your institution. In most cases, a Tourist Visa offers faster processing and requires fewer supporting documents.
  • Most international visitors are eligible to apply for a Vietnam electronic visa (e-Visa) for both Tourist and Business purposes. Instructions for applying for an e-Visa are available at https://evisa.gov.vn (external link)
