Matthias is the interim Associate Program Manager of the Fashion Enterprise program and a fashion design lecturer at RMIT Vietnam. Italian by origin, he holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the FHNW Academy of Arts and Design in Basel, where he subsequently worked as creative assistant to Prof. Priska Morger, with a focus on collection development, fashion performance, and visual communication.

His practice spans teaching, industry, and consultancy. He has guest-lectured at Die Angewandte in Vienna and FAT in Linz, collaborated with Gaspard Yurkievich and ZIMMERLI in Paris, and consulted for Bernhard Willhelm, Sang Bleu, and Canon Switzerland. In Basel, he co-directed graduate shows and mentored BA Final Collections.
