The application deadline for most categories for prospective undergraduate students is 3 July 2026, except for the Foundation Studies Scholarship, International Excellence Scholarship, Postgraduate and PhD Scholarship, which follow their own timelines.
Pro Vice-Chancellor and General Director of RMIT Vietnam, Professor Scott Thompson-Whiteside was thrilled to share the record amount of scholarships that RMIT Vietnam is going to offer in 2026, including research scholarships, which more than triples the annual scholarship fund.
Professor Thompson-Whiteside highlighted the significant contribution that scholarship recipients have made over the years: “As the only foreign branch campus in Vietnam and a pioneer in Vietnam’s higher education sector, our Scholarship program has played a crucial role in developing high-calibre employees and future leaders for the nation”.
He noted that RMIT Vietnam’s alumni community now includes more than 25,500 graduates, many of whom are working in leadership roles across industries such as media and communications, information technology, telecommunications, consulting services, finance and insurance, consumer goods, retail and food services, tourism and hospitality, and transportation, infrastructure and logistics.
A highlight of the 2026 RMIT scholarship program for new students is the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Scholars scholarship. The selection process assesses academic excellence, community involvement and leadership potential. Applicants must submit a video introduction, personal statement, recommendation letters and a digital portfolio, and participate in a three round evaluation process including an English-language interview. Successful students will receive 100% tuition fee coverage for their undergraduate studies.
The program also includes the Opportunity Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship category dedicated to students with disabilities and/or financial disadvantage.
Beyond full-tuition categories, the University also offers a range of partial scholarships covering 25% to 50% of tuition fees across 15 scholarship categories, including those for specific disciplines, academic achievement, international students and postgraduate applicants.
Since its establishment in 2000, RMIT Vietnam has awarded more than 1,900 scholarships, representing an investment exceeding 613 billion VND in developing Vietnam’s emerging talent and future leaders.
