Professor Thompson-Whiteside encouraged graduates to carry RMIT's values – passion, impact, inclusion, integrity, courage and imagination – into everything they do.

"You future leaders, I'm confident you will make a positive contribution to society and the communities you serve," he said.

That sentiment resonated throughout the ceremonies: an RMIT degree is not merely a credential, but a foundation for meaningful and lasting impact.

For many graduates, the journey to this moment was shaped by more than coursework. It was built through late nights and early mornings, through friendships forged in study groups, through internships and industry projects that brought real-world challenges into the classroom. RMIT Vietnam has long prided itself on its industry connections and applied learning model, and the graduating class of 2026 is a testament to what that approach can produce.

As graduates received their testamurs and crossed the stage, they joined a global alumni network of more than half a million graduates that spans continents and industries. RMIT encourages its alumni to remain actively connected and contribute to the University’s ongoing mission.

In Vietnam, where RMIT has operated for more than two and a half decades, alumni now hold leadership roles across government, business, technology, the creative industries and civil society, and their influence continues to grow.

For the Class of 2026, the message from RMIT Vietnam was clear – you are ready for what’s next. The knowledge is yours. The skills are yours. The network is yours. Now go and use them.
