Expert comment on Vietnam’s tourism and hospitality sector

Associate Professor Earney Lasten is the Discipline Lead for RMIT Vietnam’s Tourism & Hospitality Management program.

Associate Professor Earney Lasten believes the tourism industry in Vietnam will benefit from a greater focus on hospitality.

He says: “For years, tourism planning [in Vietnam] has been held back by a lack of focus on the intangibles. People only think about the hotels and attractions for the visitors and there is little thought on how to create the experience.”
