For a greener generation

More than 550 primary school students and parents elevated their awareness of the environment after enjoying the recent Green Fair organised by RMIT Vietnam’s Green Generation Club.

Participants from four primary schools in Ho Chi Minh City – including Khai Minh, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Le Quy Don, and Luong The Vinh – took part in various carnival-style games and learned about the importance of sorting and disposing waste properly.

“There are not many other activities like this where children can learn by doing,” Ms Mai said.

“I hope the Green Generation will organise many more meaningful events so that children can have fun while acquiring environmental knowledge.”

“In addition to spreading the green message, we wanted to give back to the local community through these small presents,” Hai said.

The second Green Fair was part of the club’s annual Green Action campaign lasting more than one month. This year, students from RMIT Vietnam’s Green Generation and Flag Football Club, as well as four other local universities including Van Lang University, University of Finance – Marketing, FPT University, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities adopted the slogan “Little steps make a big difference” to raise awareness and change attitudes around keeping a green, clean and beautiful environment in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country.
