From Lost to Lit: The Journey to Identity

From Lost to Lit: The Journey to Identity was a collaborative talk show by RMIT Vietnam Library and the Human Development Club, held on July 16, 2025. The event empowered students through shared stories of growth, resilience, and self-discovery, fostering reflection and community connection.

On July 16, RMIT Vietnam Library, in collaboration with the Human Development Club, hosted the talk show From Lost to Lit: The Journey to Identity. Held across the Saigon South and Hanoi campuses, the event created a meaningful platform for dialogue on self-discovery and personal growth.

Distinguished RMIT alumni took the stage as guest speakers, including Ms. Minh Nguyen (Business and Technology Lecturer), Mr. Tinh Ha (Project Leader, Green English), Ms. Thu Vu (Founder, Passii), and Mr. Diem Le (Project Management Executive, VNG Games). They shared inspiring stories of resilience, growth, and identity, offering students practical advice and emotional encouragement. 

As Ms. Thu Vu claimed: “Finding my voice was the first step toward understanding who I am”-  a message that strongly resonated with the audience.

In Hanoi campus, the event took place with Ms. Minh Nguyen and Mr. Tinh Ha as guest speakers. The session attracted a lively audience, with numerous questions raised around academic journeys, career development, and the art of personal branding. "The most important thing in personal branding is how you build 'trust'." Ms. Minh shares her greatest lesson. Alongside, Mr. Tinh also shared his experiences as a distinguished scholarship recipient at RMIT Vietnam, offered his practical advice and shared how he kept his motivation strong, aspiring students to follow his path.

The talk show drew strong interest, with nearly 300 visitors engaging at the booths and over 70 RMIT students and staff attending the talk.

The event also featured interactive booths and engaging sessions to learn about the library and our resources that help them in their learning journey.

Participants praised the event’s impact, highlighting the strength found in community and storytelling. One attendee commented, “It’s empowering to hear others’ experiences and makes you feel less alone.”

From Lost to Lit marked a successful and heartfelt collaboration between RMIT Vietnam Library and the Human Development Club, setting the stage for future student-centered initiatives focused on identity, wellbeing, and growth.
