Entry requirements - Study abroad

Check our entry requirements for the RMIT Vietnam Study Abroad program to see if you qualify:

RMIT University Vietnam has three intakes per year, corresponding to our trimester system of study; join us in February, June, or October.

Your university will determine whether you can receive credits towards your degree for the courses you undertake at RMIT Vietnam. This decision will be based on the equivalence between your degree program and the courses you choose to study at RMIT Vietnam.

Study abroad requirements:

For Undergraduate students:

  • Completed at least one full year of studies or equivalent at your home institution.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 or 60% or equivalent (applications with a lower GPA will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).
  • Meet RMIT’s English language requirements.
  • Be 18 years of age or over at the time of application.

For Postgraduate students:

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree; OR, completed at least one full semester of studies or equivalent in a Postgraduate program at your home institution.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 or 60% or equivalent (applications with a lower GPA will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).
  • Meet RMIT’s English language requirements.

GAP year requirements:

  • Successfully completed a senior secondary school qualification (equivalent to Australian Year 12) with a minimum average of 65%.
  • Meet RMIT’s English language requirements.
  • Be 18 years of age or over at the time of application.
