Under the MoU, the two parties will explore and develop opportunities for academic collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including the design and delivery of short- and long-term English language programs through RMIT’s School of English and University Pathways.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr Hossein Davari said the partnership reflects shared priorities in skills development and industry collaboration.

“Today’s signing reflects not only a shared vision, but also a strong foundation for a meaningful and impactful partnership,” he said. “Through English language education and other tailored training programs, we look forward to supporting the Port of Hai Phong’s capacity development.”

The MoU also lays the foundation for cooperation to enhance RMIT’s student employability and industry engagement. Potential activities include internships, work‑integrated learning projects, industry talks, site visits, and the Port’s participation in other career-related activities for RMIT students.

Ms Manuela Spiga, Director of Careers, Alumni and Industry Relations at RMIT Vietnam, said the agreement strengthens links between education and industry.

“We look forward to co-creating opportunities for students to gain practical, industry‑informed learning experiences while enabling the Port to engage with emerging talent,” she said.

The MoU further envisages collaboration in areas such as research and innovation for logistics, green port development, and industrial sustainability.
