There will be 64 scholarships for prospective undergraduate students, 18 scholarships for prospective graduate students, and 30 scholarships for current students.
The scholarships for prospective undergraduate students, which cover from 25 to 100 per cent of tuition fees, will be allocated across 13 different categories, including: President’s Scholars, academic achievement, international, opportunity, creativity, languages, technology, women in technology, logistics and supply chain management (Saigon South Campus), professional communication, digital marketing (Hanoi campus), the Professor Nguyen Van Dao scholarship, and the Luke McLachlan scholarship.
President’s Scholars, the most prestigious scholarship which covers 100 percent tuition fee, will be awarded to eight outstanding high school students who have achieved exemplary academic grades and demonstrated outstanding community engagement and leadership potential. The candidates will be progressed through two selection rounds, including application approvals by independent judges and an interview in English.
This year Creative Scholarships will provide opportunities for students to study undergraduate programs in design, design studies, and fashion (merchandise management). In addition to the application forms, students will have to submit a portfolio for assessment.
RMIT Vietnam President Professor Gael McDonald said that the University’s annual scholarship program is part of its effort to give back to the country and broader community.
“RMIT Vietnam operates under a not-for-profit model, with profits remaining in Vietnam and reinvested back into the University by presenting scholarships, improving teaching facilities, and sharing teaching methodologies with local universities,” Professor McDonald said.
In the past 17 years, RMIT Vietnam has awarded more than 1111 scholarships worth over VND272 billion to young people from all over Vietnam and around the world.
“Our approach to quality is driven by a focus on the student experience, and in particular on delivering digitally enabled, industry-relevant and work-integrated learning experiences,” she explained.

“Our students graduate work-ready, having taken on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences that combine academic, professional and personal skills through real-world practice. WIL activities at RMIT Vietnam include internships, projects and work-based learning.
“Studying at RMIT Vietnam, students will also have a chance to study a short course abroad, go overseas for one or two semesters and study at one of more than 200 partner universities around the world.”
