Presentation guidelines

Papers are grouped to encourage focused discussion within specific areas of sustainable development research.

Each presenter is allocated 15 minutes for the formal presentation, followed by up to 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

Presentation slides

Slides and file format

Please prepare your presentation in a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. Slides should be saved as either a PowerPoint file (.pptx) or PDF.

Please email your presentation to the.business.school@rmit.edu.vn by 18 October 2026. Please include your Submission ID in the email subject line.

Alternatively, you may bring your presentation file on a USB drive and upload it on the day.

Slide style and readability

To ensure a consistent and professional presentation experience across sessions:

  • Use a plain white background and a standard, highly legible font
  • Choose font sizes that can be comfortably read by participants seated at the back of the room
  • Keep slides concise and avoid crowded layouts
  • Ensure that tables, charts and figures are clearly readable at a distance
  • Where possible, focus on one main point per slide.

Arrival and session management

Please arrive at your assigned presentation room at least 10 minutes before your session's start time.

Upload your presentation to the conference laptop and introduce yourself to the session chair.

The session chair will provide a 2-minute time signal before the end of your presentation.

Please keep within your allocated 15-minute presentation time to ensure all presenters have an equal opportunity to share their research and engage in discussion.

Content guidance

Your presentation should focus on the key elements of your research, including:

Research context and question
Briefly introduce the issue and research question or objective
Theoretical contribution
Highlight the key theoretical perspective and contribution of the study
Methodology
Briefly explain the research design, data and methods used
Key findings
Present the most important results and insights
Implications
Discuss the relevance of your findings to your research area and, where appropriate, their broader implications for sustainable development

Given the interdisciplinary nature of ISSD 2026, presenters are encouraged to communicate their research in a way that is accessible to participants from different fields while maintaining the depth and rigour of their work.
