RMIT bolsters flight training in Vietnam with a state-of-the-art flight simulator

RMIT University has announced it will introduce a state-of-the-art flight simulator to its Vietnam campus.

The flight simulator will improve the quality of aviation training in Vietnam for local students.

The announcement was witnessed by the Premier of Victoria, the Hon Daniel Andrews, during his visit to Vietnam on 20-21 October 2019.

The Reconfigurable Flight Training Device will be the first of its kind in Vietnam, showcasing the latest in-flight training simulation technology which is currently in use at RMIT’s flight training campuses in Victoria, Australia.

Premier of Victoria, The Hon. Daniel Andrews MP reflected on the partnership and Victoria’s thriving relationship with Vietnam in aviation and education.

“RMIT is a leader in aviation training in Victoria and it’s terrific to see our local university leverage their strengths, technology and investment in Vietnam to help connect our two cities”.

The investment will allow student pilots in Vietnam to practice in simulated versions of RMIT’s own fleet of planes before commencing any practical training in Australia.

The flight simulator will be available for use in aviation training programs in Vietnam in 2020.
