Public transportation

Saigon South campus

There is a bus stop at RMIT’s main gate area, on Nguyen Van Linh boulevard, see location here. At this stop, students can take the following bus routes to and from RMIT:

  • Route 102 (buses every 15-20 minutes): Saigon Bus Station - Nguyen Van Linh - Western Bus Station (Mien Tay Bus Station)
  • Route 34 (buses every 12-15 minutes): Saigon Bus Station - District 8 Bus Station

 

Hanoi City campus

To travel to and from RMIT, parents and students can take the following bus routes (pick-up and drop-off locations: Ngoc Khanh Lake, Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, 200-metre walk from RMIT, see location here), with buses every 15 to 20 minutes:

  • Route E07: Long Bien - Cua Nam - Smart City Urban Area
  • Route 09A: Bo Ho - Hanoi University of Mining & Geology 
  • Route 09ACT: Tran Khanh Du - Hanoi University of Mining & Geology
  • Route 22A: Gia Lam bus station - Trung Van Urban Area
  • Route 28: Nuoc Ngam Bus Station - Dong Ngac - Hanoi University of Mining
  • Route 146: Hao Nam (Cat Linh Train Station) - Kim Ma - Hao Nam (Cat Linh Train Station)
  • Route 107: Kim Ma - Cultural Village of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups

Private transportation

Saigon South campus

RMIT Saigon South campus has both motorbike and car parking. 

Motorbike parking
  • For current students: Current students can use their RMIT student cards to access the motorbike parking
  • For parents and prospective students: Parents and prospective students coming to RMIT for program consultation or application, please contact the on-duty security officer for motorbike parking instructions
Car parking
  • View car park location here
  • Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm
  • RMIT car park is limited to 55 spaces, available for staff, students, and visitors on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, please note that the car park does often fill up
  • Parking instructions: 
    • For current students: To collect your parking card, please provide the on-duty security officer with (1) full name; (2) photo ID; (3) RMIT ID number; (4) mobile phone number
    • For parents: Please contact the on-duty security officer for car parking guidance
  • In case that RMIT car park runs out of space, students and parents are advised to park their vehicle at the neighbouring shopping malls like Vivo City (1.2km driving distance) or Lotte Mart (2.3km driving distance) and catch a taxi to the University

 

Hanoi City campus

Motorbike parking

Current students and parents can park the motorbike at: 

  • The building's basement: 
    • Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 10pm 
    • There are 86 parking spaces
  • On the ground floor: 
    • Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 7am to 7pm and on Saturday from 7am to 1pm     
    • There are 132 lots on the ground floor of Tower A and 100 lots on the ground floor of Tower B
Car parking is not available
  • Parents and prospective students coming to RMIT for program consultation and application, please park your car at neighbouring buildings, such as Lotte Centre Hanoi, Vincom Metropolis, and the Capital Place building

 

Parents and prospective students are recommended to book an appointment with RMIT Student Recruitment department in advance to avoid waiting.

Saigon South campus

The bus service is available to staff and current students on a “first come first served” basis. The bus services operate between RMIT University Saigon South Campus and several convenient locations. Services travel in both directions to campus, and from campus.

Note:

  • Current students must show their RMIT ID card when boarding
  • To ensure safety and avoid jostling, each RMIT bus is limited to a maximum of 28 seats. Therefore, students are advised to arrive at the pick-up location early to reserve their seats

 

Hanoi City campus

RMIT bus service is not available at RMIT Hanoi City campus.
