Develop expertise on the global trading system, understand the international challenges and opportunities facing your organisation and connect with global leaders in trade in this new program.

The curriculum for the Graduate Certificate of Global Trade has been developed in partnership with the Hinrich Foundation and a wide range of industry partners, including HSBC, KPMG, Samsung and Nestle. This involvement ensures that the program is up to date with global realities in the rapidly-changing area of trade and is highly practical for working professionals.

With real-world case studies and authentic learning experiences provided by our industry partners, the program is ideal for middle-management professionals who want to apply what they learn in class directly into their trade-related roles.

Graduates of this four-course program are encouraged to progress to the Master of Global Trade.

Learning, teaching and assessment

A customised calendar, with each course is conducted over one month and includes four intensive days on campus, makes it easier to balance full-time work with study.

RMIT postgraduate faculty is comprised of dedicated full-time academics and visiting professors with extensive global experience across the corporate, government and academic sectors.

We provide a facilitated learning approach with business mentoring support, case studies and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) courses that contextualise your learning. You will work in teams and benefit from the additional insight and understanding that come from interaction with classmates who have similar aspirations but come from a diverse range of disciplinary and personal backgrounds.

Ongoing assessment throughout the program includes assignments, research, case study analysis, group presentations and examinations.

Fees

Students can choose between standard tuition fee or fixed fee program. Payments are made each semester, on a course-by-course basis.

  1. RMIT Vietnam has three semesters per year. The duration of programs is flexible and can be adapted on an individual basis upon enrolment.
  2. Program fees are priced and invoiced in Vietnam Dong (VND) by semester.
  3. Payment in other currencies will be converted to VND at the exchange rate on that day. Bank transfer is the preferred method of payment.
  4. The fees in USD are ONLY applicable to those international students who arrange for payment from overseas, as per Circular No. 32/2013/TT-NHNN.

Entry requirements

Academic requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed:

  • A bachelor degree* or higher level qualification in any discipline.

If you do not meet the above minimum academic requirements but have a minimum of five years of relevant full-time work experience, you may also be considered for admission. Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV).

* The bachelor degree must be deemed equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree.

English requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed RMIT English Advanced or meet one of the following requirements:

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (no band below 6.0);
  • TOEFL Paper-Based test 580 (Test of Written English 4.5);
  • TOEFL Internet-Based Test 79 (minimum 13 in reading, 12 in listening, 18 in speaking and 21 in writing);
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) 58 (no communication band below 50).

Note: TOEFL, ELTS and other English language proficiency tests for international students are recognised for two years from the test date.
