English for Teens at RMIT is an exciting English program designed for teens aged 12 to 17. Students will be able to develop and master their academic English skills (listening - speaking - reading - writing), prepare for international English certification exams, and build up their confidence for a global education experience.
English courses and programs provided by RMIT University Vietnam are endorsed by NEAS (the Australian National English Language Teaching Accreditation Scheme). That means students are learning in an organisation that has internationally recognised English learning and teaching standards.
Joining English for Teens, students will be able to:

  • Develop and master the four skills: listening - speaking - reading - writing, and upon successful completion of all 6 levels students will have an English language ability with an IELTS equivalent of 6.5 (or more).
  • Develop both academic and soft skills with our project-based learning approach and a series of personal development workshops.
  • Gain invaluable knowledge on science, nature, life, and more from our curriculum. We use an exciting textbook - Impact (2017) - from a world-leading publisher, National Geographic Learning.
  • Learn in an international university environment with state-of-the-art facilities, develop digital learning skills and benefit from thousands of publications and e-books in the RMIT library.

Course Structure

English for Teens at RMIT includes:

  • 6 levels, from Elementary to Advanced
  • Each level is divided into 2 modules (A&B) of 60 hours each.
  • Each module combines 3 soft skills workshops
  • Advanced has an inbuilt component of 40 hours of IELTS-focussed skills and test practise, including full IELTS practice tests to be taken outside of the allotted 120 hours.

The table above shows approximate IELTS equivalency levels on exit from each set of modules (A&B).

An IELTS score of 6.5 or above gives you direct English entry to higher education.
