RMIT International University Vietnam today announced four winners of industry sponsored scholarships and prizes.
Two are current students of the university and two are alumni (former students).
CPA Australia is awarding a full scholarship to RMIT graduate and KPMG employee Nguyen Kieu Chinh and a half scholarship to RMIT graduate and Deloitte employee Nguyen Pham Hong Que.
The full CPA program scholarship is worth VND 106,758,000 ($6,000 Australian), and the half scholarship is worth VND 53,379,000 ($3,000 Australian). These scholarships will enable the two awardees to pursue their studies for CPA membership.
Deloitte Vietnam has awarded two prizes worth at least VND5,548,500 ($300 US) each to RMIT Vietnam students Vo Hoang Duc Long and Nguyen Le Thuy An in recognition of their being the top Year 1 and Year 2 students in RMIT's Accountancy program, respectively.
Attending the award ceremony tonight were representatives from CPA Australia and Deloitte Vietnam and RMIT Vietnam Accountancy Program Manager Mr David Knock.
"Our students benefit greatly from our strong relationship with industry partners," said David Knock.
"Apart from bringing our students scholarships, prizes and internship opportunities, industry partnership enables our programs to stay relevant to workforce demands."
The award ceremony was held on Monday 30 November, 2009 at 6pm in the Melbourne Theatre of RMIT's Saigon South campus.
