First day on campus

First day on campus

President Professor Gael McDonald

Welcome to RMIT Vietnam!

We are delighted that you are joining the team here on this vibrant Asian campus.

RMIT is a global university, which since 1887 has aimed to develop “a skilled hand and cultivated mind” in its students.

Our focus for 2016 is around three main goals; growth in student numbers, quality of programs, staffing and infrastructure, and differentiation in the way that we teach, our digital engagement, fostering industry relationships and providing international opportunities.

This year we launched our Centre of Digital Excellence (CODE) and this means our technology focus will come to life through more digital learning experiences for students and development of staff skills in this space. We're hoping you, along with all our staff, will be able to contribute creative and innovative new ideas so that RMIT Vietnam continues to be a great place to work and study.

We look for staff who share our values, who will help to shape RMIT with passion, inclusion, impact, agility, courage and imagination - and we think you will!

So it is my pleasure to welcome you, and the team here looks forward to working with you.

Yours sincerely,

Gael McDonald
President
