Presented by Professor Benny Widyono, University of Connecticut, the workshop will share his insights into US-China rivalries, the most important bilateral relationship in the global economy. He will also offer assessment of the potential economic and political impact of three new initiatives on Asia:  the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community.

Widyono’s lecture will be followed by a panel discussion to respond to questions and reflect further on how businesses in Vietnam can position themselves to take advantage of the various unique opportunities opened up by shifting regional and global power dynamics.

The workshop is hosted by the KPMG-RMIT Centre for Governance.
